Looking Down

by Stacey

ImageIt is a total coincidence that Caroline is looking down in all these shots. I had actually put this collage together to post on Instagram and had my comment all planned out. “Where is that little girl I carried?” I was going to type. Because seriously… when did my baby get so big?

I have just recently discovered Chantelle who blogs at Fat Mum Slim. There’s lots to like about Chantelle’s work but my favorite bits so far include her mini-photography lessons. I took the picture above thanks to her tips regarding iPhone macro photography.

Me Before You by Jojo Moyes. A story of a love affair of sorts. Best book I have read in a long, long time. There is so much to think about and talk about after reading this book. Make sure you have friends reading it at the same time.

Last Letters from Your Lover by Jojo Moyes. After reading Me Before You, I felt a need to read something else written by Jojo Moyes. Last Letters was also a great read. Slightly less to think about but still thought provoking.

A Million Miles in a Thousand Years: How I Learned to Live a Better Story by Donald Miller. What would a movie of your life look like? Turns out this is sort of a scary question to answer. Miller tells the tale of turning his life from  hum drum in to something much more exciting.

Eleanor and Park by Rainbow Rowell. Before I read Me Before You, this was my favorite book of the year. Two teenagers discover love for the first time.

Be sure to check out lots of other great reviews at Modern Mrs. Darcy today.

“One day I would have all the books in the world, shelves and shelves of them. I would live my life in a tower of books. I would read all day long and eat peaches. And if any young knights in armor dared to come calling on their white chargers and plead with me to let down my hair, I would pelt them with peach pits until they went home.”
