This Moment: February 14

“For a long time it had seemed to me that life was about to begin- real life. But there was always some obstacle in the way, something to be gotten through first, some unfinished business, time still to be served, or a debt to be paid. Then life would begin. At last it dawned on me that these obstacles were my life.”
-Fr. Alfred D’Souza
For more moments, visit Amanda’s Soule Mama where she describes her Friday posts this way, “A Friday ritual. A single photo- no words-capturing a moment from the week. A simple, special extraordinary moment. A moment I want to pause and remember.”
Where is that quote from? It sounds so familiar, but I could have sworn it was some female author. I guess it’s probably a common sentiment, though — right? Happy Valentine’s Day!
Great shot, Stacey. Love the colors here – the orange of the snow shovel and the red boot laces. I still catch myself having the feeling that quote describes. I wonder if I’ll ever “grow out of” it?!
Snow!! Enjoy!
Love the photo and I feel the quote and the photo very much. I am in my mid-winter hibernation gloom. I’m hiding from all the viruses out there and the having to drive in snow. Boo!
