This Moment: January 17

When Rob arrived home last night he told Katherine that he thought her haircut was cute.
This conversation followed.
Katherine: “No Daddy. It’s not cute.”
Rob: “Oh. What is it then?”
Katherine: “It is BEAUTIFUL!!!”
May she always have this self-confidence because that is beautiful.

My 8 year-old has LOADS of self-confidence. I find myself constantly wishing she’ll hold on to it. And that I could divvy it up and give a bit to her younger brother. Love Katherine’s hair cut. And that little North Face fleece is adorable.

That sounds like Scarlet! She’s four so obviously I still think she’s adorable (and might when she’s 40) but when I say it, she says, “I’m not cute! I’m pretty.”
