“The fire of literacy is created by the emotional sparks between a child, a book, and the person reading. It isn’t achieved by the book alone, nor by the child alone, nor by the adult who’s reading aloud—it’s the relationship winding between all three, bringing them together in easy harmony.”

  1. So sweet that your “big girl” will still curl up and read with you!

I have that book!  I found it at the thrift store and couldn’t resist.  Seeing this quote makes me want to pick it up SOON.

I love the way she’s curled into her momma.  And your all black – I’d wear black every day if I could.  Every time my husband and I shop, he wonders aloud how many black shirts someone could possibly need and I always tell him there’s no such thing as too many black clothes!

Very sweet and cozy picture, and also, that looks like a fun book! And I also love the way she’s curled into you and holding your necklace.
