Ooh – I love the format you’ve used! I rediscovered my love of mysteries this year, so I’ll definitely have to check out Reconstructing Amelia. And I got Elevate the Everyday for Christmas (last year!) and I think I’m going to make a little learn-to-use-your-camera crash course for myself based on it.
Thanks for the list! Always nice to know what others have enjoyed reading 🙂
What a fun way to present your list! I’m going to have to get Elevate the Everyday soon-I really want to work on taking more pictures this year.
I love how you’ve divided the books!
I LOVED ELEANOR & PARK AND ME BEFORE YOU. GREAT LIST HERE! HERE ARE MY FAVORITES FROM THE YEAR: loved Help, Thanks, Wow as well and most things Anne Lamott writes. But I just read her most recent book, Stitches and didn’t love it. I just discovered Kate Morton this year and read several of her books. Here are my favorites from the year: http://www.morethanmundane.com/2014/01/03/favorite-books-of-2013/
The same friend has recommended The Lifeboat and The Interestings to me. Now that I see them on your list, too, looks like I better get reading.
I JUST got “Me Before You” from the library today, along with “Goodbye For Now” and “And The Mountains Echoed.” Looking very forward to devouring these books.
Just added Elevate the Everyday to my to read list! Thanks for sharing!
Wow – that’s a glowing recommendation for Me Before You. Good news for my book club since we’re discussing it in Jan. I’ve almost borrowed Wave from the library several times but just can’t bring myself to read it yet. I just put Elevate the Everyday on my Amazon wish list – now hoping my husband, mom, or sister gets it for my birthday 🙂
I love your categories! The one that jumps out at me (well, that I haven’t read) is Wave: I keep hearing wonderful things, and I keep thinking I’m scared to open it. Maybe in 2014….
I too love the Day the Crayons Quit (as does my daughter). I’ve never done an audiobook before, but have been thinking about one for my walks. Perhaps I’ll have to start with The Woman Upstairs.
Such clever categories! I especially liked “by an author I didn’t think I liked.” Ha!
